Artist's Comments

Dim vales- and shadowy floods-
And cloudy-looking woods,
Whose forms we can't discover
For the tears that drip all over!
Huge moons there wax and wane-
Again- again- again-
Every moment of the night-
Forever changing places-
And they put out the star-light
With the breath from their pale faces.
About twelve by the moon-dial,
One more filmy than the rest
(A kind which, upon trial,
They have found to be the best)
Comes down- still down- and down,
With its centre on the crown
Of a mountain's eminence,
While its wide circumference
In easy drapery falls
Over hamlets, over halls,
Wherever they may be-
O'er the strange woods- o'er the sea-
Over spirits on the wing-
Over every drowsy thing-
And buries them up quite
In a labyrinth of light-
And then, how deep!- O, deep!
Is the passion of their sleep.

Wow, the golden background is fantastic !
:iconhemalitanna:
Thanks Gale!! I was wondering if the graphic has become too neutral.. with so much gold and yellow..! :-)

It is wonderful to sometimes have just one color light bathing the scene, so I think the colors work fine. They especially look good on the trees, where they appear golden. I tried to click on your image to see a larger view, but it only allows me to see a very small view, so I couldn't zoom in on the details. :-D

Hi Gale, I will mail you a hi-res of the image.. am so happy about your interest! :)

What I was wondering, is why I was only able to view this image at such a small size. Most images I can click on and see them much larger, but on this one, it remains quite small .... can't really get close to view the detail. :-D

Hi Gale! I should have uploaded a bigger size of the graphic! I emailed you a hi-res image :)
